Dominic Choy

Principal and Chief Architect

Mr Choy’s Howin Group has an extensive history in architectural consultancy, property development, hospitality and engineering research and development. In conjunction with the Howin Group, JPM Projects Pty Ltd was established as a Project Management company in the 1980s by a team of highly experienced professionals, resulting in the completion of some of Sydney CBD’s landmark buildings. In 1991, Howin Group acquired 100% interest in JPM Projects Pty Ltd. JPM was Project Manager and 50% shareholder of the $600 million Market City project in Haymarket Sydney and has successfully undertaken large-scale projects both in Australia and overseas. The JPM team has developed the exciting concept of The Dreamtime Park. Dominic was listed in the top 300 most successful individuals in “Australia Business” publication for several years and was listed in “Forbes” magazine.

Nathan Moran

CEO Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council

Dreamtime Park – Joint Venture Partner A lifetime advocate of Aboriginal history and culture. Nathan serves as the Chief Executive Officer at the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council that represents the families who are the traditional custodians of the preferred land for Dreamtime Park.

Nic Manikis PSM

Project Director

Nic enjoyed a successful career as a senior executive for 37 years in governance, financial management and ministerial briefings for the Commonwealth and ACT Governments. He oversaw a range of social policy areas, in particular Aboriginal and multicultural affairs. He also supported the Chief Minister and other relevant Ministers as the senior executive with responsibility for seniors, veterans, youth, volunteers, women and community disaster recovery. He oversaw many infrastructure projects for the Aboriginal and multicultural communities. He retired from the public sector in November
2016 and now acts as consultant to the private sector.

Under the authority of Queen Elizabeth II, Nic received the Public Service Medal in 1998 and was Awarded the Australian Centenary Medal in 2000.

Lisa Annese

Diversity Expert

Lisa Annese is one of the Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence, 2018. The Diversity Council Australia CEO has a long and impressive career in diversity and inclusion space across corporate, government and nonfor-profit sectors. She twice represented DCA at the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations and developed the first census of Australian Women in Leadership during her tenure at (now) WGEA. Lisa is the Executive Producer of workplace diversity podcast #TheArtofInclusion and a Centennary Medal recipient for Significant Contribution to the Australian Public Service. and world title fights involving Jeff Fenech, Jeff Harding, Alex Tui, Anthony Mundine, Kostya Tszyu and Tony Mundine (Snr).

Dr. Lou Lewis, general practitioner of 40 years. A proud Australian Sports Medal recipient (instituted by Queen Elizabeth II) in 2000. A ringside physician for thousands of professional fights including international and world title fights involving Jeff Fenech, Jeff Harding, Alex Tui, Anthony Mundine, Kostya Tszyu and Tony Mundine (Snr). Mark Ella AM

Dreamtime Park – Ambassador

Mark is a Gadigal man and one of Australia’s greatest rugby union players, captaining the Wallabies. Recognised for his sporting achievements, Mark was named Young Australian of the Year in 1982 and a member of the Order of Australia (AM). After retiring from rugby, Mark commenced a career in public relations and marketing, championing the cause for young Indigenous sports stars. Mark co-authored four autobiographies and also contributed as a freelance journalist to The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian, ABC – Rugby, Sky Sports and The Big Sports Breakfast since he retired in 1984. Mark sits on or has sat on a number of boards including The Australia Day board for NSW and National, Rio Tinto Indigenous Foundation, Television Censorship Board, Indigenous Readers and ANZ Stadium.

Patrick Brookes

Architect

Patrick Brookes has practiced as an architect for more than 30 years. Winner of many residential and civil design awards, Patrick has been a member of the Howin Group functioning as Design Director on many of JPM Projects’ major developments.
Gerard Eakin has 35 years’ experience in the Australian equity market. Previously Head of Australian Equities at Rothschild Australia Asset Management. Gerard was a pioneer of institutional small cap investing in Australia and has a particular passion in uniting great ideas with the capital needed to turn visions into reality.
He was closely engaged in capital raising and the ASX listing of small cap stocks that have grown to become some of Australia’s most successful technology stocks including Technology One, Hansen Technologies and Integrated Research.

William Ash

Project Manager

William Ash is an experienced provider of management services to the construction and development industries, in both government and private sectors. He specialises in managing complex commercial and industrial projects through all stages from conception to completion. These have included Market City, Park Hyatt on Sydney Cove, Indigenous Cultural Centre in Tamworth and News Corp Australia printing facilities.

Neil Gibson

Engineer

Neil Gibson has 30 years of extensive experience in the civil engineering, mining and construction industries. Positions held include Mitchell Cotts Engineering General Manager and Zeni Drilling Australia Managing Director. Neil was Project Director of the Howin Group Market City development.

After retiring as partner of Colin Biggers & Paisley, Alex now consults to the private sector.

Peter Cronin, Chartered Accountant, has been in practice for over 30 years providing project financing advice as well as audit, accounting and taxation services to a wide range of corporations, particularly the property development and building industries.

David Byak

David Byak is a veteran in film and television production and digital technologies. His career, spanning over three decades, has seen him undertake Executive Producer and Creative Director roles as Head of Grundy Television Post Production, Producer of Special Projects, Creative Developments, Emerging Technologies and Program Sales. Paul Nichola is a specialist cinematographer and pioneer of new camera technologies with extensive knowledge of visual effects pre-dating the digital revolution. He has a long history of innovation in the media industry and is often required to develop solutions that are not commercially available. He excels in 3D, VR, holographic and immersive technologies.

Eddie Lim has 29 years of experience in Australia providing technical IT infrastructure solutions to Enterprise and SMB companies including IBM, Dell, Stryker, Australian Tourist Commission, Vodafone, UGL, Optus and Oppo. Robert is an inbound travel specialist and boasts a distinguished career with 40 years’ experience in the Australian tourism industry. For 13 years he was Cathay Pacific Airways Sales and Marketing Executive in Sydney. As the company director of Chung Pak Travel Pty Ltd and CP Tours. Robert has specialised in handling inbound tourism business to Australia from many Asian countries and China. Robert assisted Xiamen Airlines to open new flight routes from Xiamen (southern China) to Sydney and Melbourne.

Professor Tom Calma AO

Professor Calma is Co-Chair of Reconciliation Australia, an Aboriginal elder from the Kungarakan tribal group and a member of the Iwaidja tribal group in the NT. Currently the National Coordinator for Tackling Indigenous Smoking and Chancellor of the University of Canberra, Professor Calma previously served as the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner and the Race Discrimination Commissioner. Professor Calma has a special interest in Indigenous education, employment and training programs.

Anthony “Tony” William Mundine OAM is an Australian former boxer, and one of the country’s most accomplished indigenous fighters. Tony was the 2005 Inductee for the Australian National Boxing Hall of Fame Moderns category.

For more than 35 years, Ann Weldon has held executive roles and has been a member of numerous committees, including the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council and the
Marrickville Aboriginal Consultative Committee. She is a founding member of the NSW Aboriginal Children’s Service and Inner West Aboriginal Community Company. Ann was the first female CEO of the Aboriginal Land Service and the first CEO of the NSW Aboriginal Land Council.
